The rules for using this site, Hollis's social media accounts, her newsletter and her digital products.
The short version
- Hollis is an AI character, not a real person.
- What she says is general information and opinion, not professional advice. Reviews are independent and dated. Check the vendor's own site before you buy.
- Some links earn us money. We always mark them #ad.
- No digital products are on sale yet. When they are, these terms will name the company that sells them and handles payment.
- Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use hollishotkey.com, watch or interact with Hollis Hotkey on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, read The Hotkey Letter, or buy one of her digital products. Hollis Hotkey is run by Dhiren Appalraju, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as Hollis Hotkey (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@hollishotkey.com. By using any of these, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
Hollis is an AI character
- Hollis is an AI-generated character. She isn't a real person, and her backstory is fiction.
- Her videos, images, voice and words are made with AI tools. A person runs the channel and is responsible for what she says.
- We check facts against named sources and date anything that can change, but both AI and people can get things wrong, and things change. If you spot a mistake, tell us at hello@hollishotkey.com and we'll correct it.
- Replies to comments and messages may be written by AI. They start with “🤖 Hollis (AI):”.
Information and opinion, not advice
Everything Hollis says is general information and opinion. It isn't financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, health, therapy or other professional advice, and it isn't tailored to your circumstances. Check anything important before you act on it, and for advice about your own situation, speak to a qualified professional.

Tool reviews
- Independent. No sponsor or affiliate can buy a Keep. A sponsored video says "Ad" from the first second, names the sponsor and carries no verdict.
- Opinion, clearly labelled. A Hotkey verdict (Keep, Skip or Wait) is Hollis's opinion of a tool for a particular job, based on what a real screen recording shows. It isn't a certification, an award or a laboratory test.
- Date-stamped. Prices, plans, limits and features are as shown on the vendor's own site on the date given, for the market stated. They change often. A verdict more than 60 days old isn't current, so check the vendor's site before you buy.
- Real recordings. Demos are real recordings of the real product, using test data with made-up names. Sped-up recordings are labelled. Anything we couldn't show running is labelled as the vendor's claim.
- Our own tools. This channel uses Claude (by Anthropic) to draft Hollis's scripts and ElevenLabs for her voice. When a video covers either of them, or a competitor, Hollis says so before the verdict.
- Your data, your call. Before you connect any tool to work systems or other people's data, check it meets your own organisation's security and data-protection rules.
- Software, not money. Hollis doesn't advise on tax, pricing your work, contracts, investments or employment rights. For those, go to the official source (for example gov.uk, HMRC, ACAS or MoneyHelper in the UK) or a qualified professional.
Ads, affiliate links and sponsors
- We earn money from affiliate links, our own digital products (once they're on sale), the platforms' creator programmes and sponsorships.
- Whenever a post has an affiliate link, promotes one of our products or is sponsored, “#ad” comes first in the caption and “Ad” shows on screen. Sponsored posts name the sponsor and use the platform's paid-partnership label.
- Affiliate links go to software companies whose programmes we've joined or plan to join, such as ElevenLabs, Make, beehiiv and Descript. An affiliate link doesn't normally change the price you pay: the company pays us a commission.
Digital products
No digital products are on sale yet. Once they are, everything in this section applies to every purchase.
- Who sells them. When products go on sale, we'll update these terms to name the company that sells them and handles payment, with a link to its buyer terms. We make the products and are responsible for what's in them.
- Made with AI. Each product is written with AI and edited by a human, and says so.
- Your licence. Buying a product gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it yourself. Please don't resell it, share it publicly, or upload it to AI tools to train them or to recreate it.
- Your legal rights. Under UK consumer law (the Consumer Rights Act 2015), digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it isn't, contact us at hello@hollishotkey.com: you're entitled to a repair or a replacement, and if neither is possible, or it isn't done within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, a price reduction, which can be a full refund. If the digital content damages your device or other digital content, and that wouldn't have happened if reasonable care and skill had been used, you're entitled to have the damage repaired or to compensation.
- Cancelling. You normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, you lose that right once the download or access starts, but only if you asked at checkout for it to start straight away and acknowledged that you'd lose the right to cancel.
- Our refund promise. If a product isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of buying and we'll refund you in full. This promise is extra: it doesn't replace or limit your legal rights above.
Platform terms, including YouTube
When you watch or interact with Hollis on a platform, that platform's own terms and privacy policy apply as well as these terms:
- YouTube: terms and privacy policy (the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy).
- TikTok: terms and privacy policy.
- Instagram: terms and privacy policy.
- Facebook: terms and privacy policy.
Influencing Studio, the tool we use to publish Hollis's videos, uses YouTube API Services. By using YouTube features through it, or watching Hollis's videos on YouTube, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
Our content, names and characters
- Hollis Hotkey, her name, look, voice, catchphrases and logo, The Hotkey Letter, and her videos, images, scripts and products belong to us or to the people we license them from.
- You're welcome to watch, share links, use the platforms' own share and embed tools, and quote short extracts with credit for comment, review or news.
- Please don't copy or re-upload our content; sell it; use Hollis's name, look or voice (including AI imitations or “deepfakes”) to make content or to suggest she endorses something; or scrape our content or use it to train AI models.
- If you think something we've published infringes your rights, email hello@hollishotkey.com with the details and we'll look into it promptly.
Links to other sites
We link to other sites, including retailers, software companies and official sources. We aren't responsible for their content, prices, products or privacy practices, so check their terms before you buy.
Our responsibility to you
- We take reasonable care over what Hollis says and sells, but her content is general and can go out of date, so we can't promise it's complete, current or right for you.
- Our content and products are for personal use. We're not responsible for business losses, such as lost profit or lost opportunity.
- We're not responsible for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable when you used our content or bought our product, or that were caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, including your statutory rights as a consumer. Changes
We may change or stop any content, account or product, and we may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you've bought a product, the terms in force when you bought it apply to that purchase.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live outside the UK, you keep any protections the consumer law of your country gives you.
